Colorado BUILDS continues with construction defect reform efforts to increase Multi-Family and TOD projects, while also focusing on Land Use/Development issues—including tax-increment financing (TIF) protection, oil & gas setbacks, curtailing court expansion of implied warranties, defeating growth-control measures and curtailing efforts to limit urban renewal development. We continue to support efforts to increase workforce development and oppose measures that hurt job creation.
Whether it’s working to defeat draconian growth-control measures or support construction-defect reform legislation, Colorado BUILDS works with stakeholders and fellow industry partners to advocate on behalf of the homebuilding industry. The General Assembly will be debating and deliberating dozens of bill that will directly impact the homebuilding industry and our construction industry partners.
